...A MIX OF WINTRY PRECIPITATION EXPECTED MAINLY SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 40 THROUGH MID MORNING. SNOW POSSIBLE AFTERNOON INTO THE EARLY OVERNIGHT...

.MIDLEVEL SUBTROPICAL MOISTURE WILL OVERSPREAD A COLD AIRMASS OVER NORTH MISSISSIPPI TO CREATE SCATTERED AREAS OF LIGHT FREEZING RAIN AND SLEET. UP TO ONE TENTH INCH OF ICE WILL BE POSSIBLE OVER PORTIONS OF NORTH MISSISSIPPI.

AN UPPER LEVEL LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL MOVE INTO ARKANSAS THIS AFTERNOON... AND TRACK INTO SOUTHEAST MISSOURI OVERNIGHT. THIS FEATURE WILL BRING A CHANCE OF ACCUMULATING SNOW BETWEEN ONE AND THREE INCHES OVER MUCH OF THE MID-SOUTH THROUGH TONIGHT.
