...HEAVY RAINFALL AND FLASH FLOODING POSSIBLE TONIGHT INTO THURSDAY MORNING...

.A STRENGTHENING AREA OF LOW PRESSURE OVER THE CENTRAL PLAINS WILL MOVE INTO THE MISSISSIPPI VALLEY TONIGHT AND THURSDAY. THIS WILL RESULT IN SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPING ACROSS THE LOWER MISSISSIPPI VALLEY. CONDITIONS MAY BECOME FAVORABLE FOR HEAVY RAINFALL AND POTENTIAL FLASH FLOODING ACROSS THE WATCH AREA.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MEMPHIS HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR ALL OF NORTH MISSISSIPPI.

* FROM 6PM WEDNESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY AT NOON

* SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO PRODUCE HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS NORTH MISSISSIPPI TONIGHT INTO THURSDAY MORNING.

* TWO TO FOUR INCHES OF HEAVY RAIN MAY PRODUCE FLASH FLOODING ACROSS THE WATCH AREA TONIGHT INTO THURSDAY MORNING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
